CAMPSITE DESCRIPTION

The presidio was already closed when I arrived, so I decided to stay overnight in the parking lot. There was some faint traffic noise coming from the highway nearby, but that didn’t bother me.
After dark, I was pleasantly surprised when the building was lit up and the belltower performed in the evening, on the hour. Listen to it below.

DIRECTIONS
From Goliad, go south 1.4mi on Hwy 183, then left on Cam De Bexar. The parking area is on your right.

GARBAGE! Free and dispersed camping is a privilege and can be taken away. Many of the campsites that I use and enjoy, have litter laying around, often just a few cans, sometimes a heap. Please dispose of your garbage appropriately and perhaps collect some of what was left by previous campers. Leave your campsite cleaner than before!
